GEICO Mobile is one of those apps that’s handy to have but not one you want to use too often.
In this instance, it’s the mobile app of the car insurance company. But before your eyes glaze at the prospect, this app is quite neat. Sure, it does all the things you would expect, but there are also a few genuinely practical touches.
Sure, we do not constantly have fender benders. But the roadside assistance and the digital insurance ID card features are super handy should you break down or get pulled over.
If you are a GEICO customer, you should download the app just for these two features alone. So hat’s off to GEICO for going that extra mile to produce an app that isn’t exclusively business process-oriented.

GEICO Mobile has the features you would expect from any insurance company app in terms of bill paying, getting quotes, editing your account details, and so on.
But that’s not the whole picture, as we have pointed out. The digital store for your insurance ID card means you can have online and offline access to your document 24/7. There’s no more fishing around in wallets or drawers.
In addition to adding it to Apple Wallet, you can view, email, or print out the card directly from the app.
Moreover, the app lets you submit a claim as soon as it happens, be it the proverbial fender bender, broken windshield, or a crash. Use the Easy Photo Estimate tool to take a picture of the damage and send it to GEICO. In most cases, you won’t need an auto shop appointment and receive an estimate in 20 minutes.
