GoPro popularized the bodycam for civilians. Their wearable go-anywhere action cameras kickstarted an entire genre of hands-free videos that have set the internet alight.
Their latest mobile app venture is GoPro Quik, a photo and video editor specifically designed for Android and iOS.

GoPro announced the launch of Quik, an app designed to extend how you use your camera roll with Mural and new automatic video and image editing tools.
The app also features an optional $9.99 annual subscription for unlimited cloud storage at original image quality.
The Mural feed lets users manipulate and share all their images and videos from GoPros, digital cameras, phones, and other devices using Android or iOS.
Quik replaces existing GoPro apps for Android and iOS, with users having their content ported over to Quik when their app is updated.

Quik is an attempt by GoPro to extend their brand by allowing app users to edit, store and share all their images and videos whether or not you are a GoPro user. The app has a suite of powerful automatic filters and features to up your image and video game. But you can edit everything yourself if you prefer to get your hands dirty.
The app is free, but you need to take out a subscription to unlock all the best features and more soundtracks. It's perfectly feasible to use the app without parting with a penny to see if it's worth shelling out for.
You will get a pretty good idea about the app and what it can do. However, there are roadblocks to how much content you can upload and the use of premium themes and music. Even with these limitations, you will be able to make an informed decision on whether you are up for a $1.99 per month subscription or not. If you pay annually, you can get it down to $9.99 for the year.
