The HP printer, formerly known as HP All-in-One, is now called HP Smart. And it’s even better.
So long as you have a reasonably recent Hewlett Packard wireless printer, you are all set for printing, scanning, and sharing files directly from your phone or tablet.
The app is way easier to set up than you may fear and instantly frees you from having to boot up or get access to a computer just to print out a document. If you’ve never tried this kind of app before, you are in for a big - and very pleasant - surprise.
HP announces new business services
Following on from its unveiling of a new business customer support service recently, HP announced three further new services for enterprise clients.
The three new services are data-driven to deliver proactive maintenance and device support, monitoring, and management.
HP commented the new services were vital and come at a time when it is estimated that half of the world’s workforce is now working remotely. This new manner of remote and home working posed particular challenges for IT teams when it comes to managing, securing, and supporting devices across multiple locations.
The thrust of the new services was to gather actionable insights by securely collecting telemetry from devices and applying analytics plus deep learning on the HP TechPulse platform.

HP Smart has some impressive tools for editing and enhancing images before you print. You can add filters and text, crop, and adjust contrast, brightness, and saturation.
Another possibly under-used feature is Mobile Fax. Does anyone still send these nowadays? Apparently, HP seems to think so.
Arguably a much more useful feature is Smart Tasks. This lets you create one-tap shortcuts to carry out particular tasks. This will undoubtedly be very handy and save you time since you can automate routine tasks.
You should also check out Printables. This is a free collection of cards, crafts, and learning activities that you can print out for you, the family, and your friends to enjoy.
