Well, curiously enough, there’s an app for that. It’s the McDonald’s mobile app that lets you order all your McD favorites straight from the sofa. Or on the move, for that matter.
And if you don’t wish to venture outside, they will deliver it to you. Result!
France removes plastic toys from Happy Meals
McDonald’s France has taken another sustainability step by replacing plastic toys with more environmentally-friendly alternatives.
The move is the latest measure McDonald’s France has taken to update the Happy Meal, which has been around for 40 years.
All McDonald’s restaurants in France now offer kids toys made from renewable materials like cardboard and paper. It is estimated this switch to sustainable toys will save over 3,000 metric tonnes of plastic each year.

There are compelling features about the McDonald’s app that are worth knowing about.
Firstly, Mobile Order and Pay. This is very useful as you can do both with a few taps. However, not all restaurants participate in this scheme. For those that do, you can choose which contactless collection method you prefer. Or opt for McDelivery instead to get your Big Mac to come to you.
Secondly, there are app-exclusive promotions that are regularly refreshed to help you save a little money. There are also frequent ‘flash offers,’ but you need to turn on notifications to receive these.
And if that’s not enticing enough, there’s the McCafe Rewards scheme. Eligible McCafe drinks earn you rewards. Once you amassed five ‘punches,’ you qualify for a complimentary McCafe beverage.

You can get the McDonald’s app at Google Play, Apple’s App Store, and mcdonalds.com. Recently, you will also qualify for free large fries if you are a first-time app user. To be eligible, you need to download the app and register. It can take up to 48 hours for your fries to appear in the app.
And if you use the contactless Mobile Order & Pay tool, you can get free medium fries every Friday on purchases over $1. This is also time-limited to June 27, 2021, as are the offers for $1 large fries and 99 cent premium-roast or iced coffee of any size.
Android users need to be running 5.0 or later and have 74 MB of storage space to spare. Meanwhile, iOS users are required to have 10.0 or later and 367.1 MB of free storage space.
