Once you get over the nauseating misspelling, this is an app you will like to cast content to your TV screen.

It's a simple app that's easy to use and works well when you want to take advantage of a bigger screen.

So long as you are running the right kit that's supported by the app, you should not run into any severe difficulties casting content to a smart TV.

As well as casting to smart TVs and displays you can also use Miracast to get content on the big screen via wireless adapters and dongles. The app, then, provides multiple methods to play or display content from your smartphone to just about any enabled device.

With one tap on the connect button, the app is a no-fuss solution to screencasting from a phone to any type of external display. It requires Android 4.2 or later and smart TVs to support wireless display/Miracast. Most recent TVs will do so.

Updates

The Tree Team launch two new apps

The Tree Team announced simultaneous launches of two new Android apps on Google Play.

The first was BLE Checker, a one-tap Android app to check if your device is able to support Bluetooth Low Energy.

The other was USB OTG Checker, a one-tap app to discover if your Android device supports USB OTG.

Features

● Cast from your Android device to a smart TV

● Show which devices are available on your WiFi network

More

Operating out of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, this mobile app from The Tree Team is free. However, you can upgrade to the paid premium to banish the ads.

The app has been tested on a number of different phone brands and works perfectly.

Miracast is just one of the stable of different Android apps developed by The Tree Team.

PROS

● Established developer

● Easy, streamlined interface

● Works well

CONS

● Only supports English

● Only available for Android

● It can be laggy under certain network conditions

How to use

Before installing the app, you can save yourself many headaches and frustration by carrying out the following pre-flight checks.

.

Check One

Ensure your TV supports wireless display or display dongles

Check Two

Ensure your TV and phone are connected to the same WiFi network. This is crucial to the plot.

Check Three

Ensure your phone is running Android 4.2 or later

If you get Yes to all three, head over to Google Play and download the app. It's not a huge sacrifice in terms of storage space at just 5.4 MB. You have to be running Android 4.0.3 or later.

The app is relatively new; it's now on version 2.0. However, Google Play lists the last update as of February 28, 2019, which is not very reassuring.

Opinion is varied over the app. A substantial number of Google Play reviewers have given this app one-star. But sufficient numbers have given Miracast five-star reviews for the app to balance out at a 3.8 out of five. Credible enough, but with room for improvement.
