SoundCloud is the planet’s largest audio-powered platform that connects creative artists with listeners and those who like to curate.
It has progressed a long way since it was founded back in 2008. Today, it hosts over 200 million tracks for an audience in 190 countries and helps over 20 million international artists take their music to a global level.
SoundCloud is more than a music channel. It empowers audio creatives worldwide with the tools, resources, and services to build and grow their careers. It is where musicians can share their work publicly with the world or privately with family and friends.
The free SoundCloud app, available on Google Play and the App Store, is the entrance to a global community.
SoundCloud announces details of SoundCloud Player One
SoundCloud revealed that their universe was expanding into gaming with the launch of SoundCloud Player One, an online tournament bringing together artists and fans in one interactive experience.
The tournament, streaming live on February 18 on SoundCloud’s Twitch and Facebook channels, will see eight SoundCloud creators go toe-to-toe in Fortnite’s Battle Royale. The interactive event will be hosted by MonsterDface, an Esports commentator, and the DC area rapper, Rico Nasty who will be performing at half-time.
Rico Nasty is a SoundCloud alumnus, having first launched her career on SoundCloud.
