What the app does is let you carry your Xfinity subscription around with you to enjoy wherever and whenever you please. You can stream all the top networks, live news and sports, On-Demand movies, and shows just like you would at home.
You can also cast all your favorites to the big screen from your smartphone or tablet using Chromecast and supported smart TVs. This is exceptionally convenient if you are away from home, ensuring you don’t miss out.
The Xfinity Stream app blends customized recommendations and curated movie and TV show collections, allowing customers even greater access to their subscription outside of the home.
Xfinity Stream debuts on Fire TV
Xfinity announced that their Stream app has now gone live on Amazon. The app now supports Amazon Fire devices as well as Fire TV smart TVs.
The tie-up now gives Xfinity customers yet another option to access their subscription in the home.
Customers can get the Xfinity Stream app on their Fire TV within the apps tab of their device. Once installed, the app is launched by telling Alexa to open Xfinity.

You can’t stream TV programs outside of the US. You can view programs you earlier downloaded to your mobile devices to view offline anywhere in the world.

Which features are available to you depends on your service package. You can watch anything included in your subscription deal. You must include any program you want to view within your channel lineup.
You also require a WiFi or data connection; the latter might involve data charges, so it’s wise to first check this out with your wireless provider.
If you wish to stream live TV at home using the app, you must connect to your in-home Xfinity network.
Once installed, tap the Get Started button at the bottom of the screen. You will have to register the device by entering your Xfinity ID login details. You only need to do this once.
